We booked this hotel due to the fact it was 1/3rd of the price of all other hotels between Christmas and new year. This hotel is in the bronx but barely. If you get the express 4 or 5 line subway it will take you 15 mins to get there from grand central. Then it is a 2 minute walk from the station. The staff were friendly and welcoming on check in. We stayed on the 10th floor with a king bed. The rooms aren’t huge (space down the far side of the bed is just big enough to walk down), but well laid out and well finished. Our sink was in the room and the bathroom is made of slightly opaque glass (small toiletries were provided). If you are going with a friend make sure you are comfortable with each other! We were opposite the lift but couldn’t hear too much from there (there are only 10 rooms on that floor). Some rooms face Manhattan but you can’t see much from there. Most rooms overlook the railway lines so bring some earplugs if you are a light sleeper but it didn’t bother us. The water refill station for still and sparkling water is a great addition so bring your own bottles (or reception can give you one). The Complimentary breakfast with Tea, coffee, juice, cereal, pasties, muffins and bagels was a nice added bonus.

Location was great….close to all public transportation!! I moved from NYC to Houston Texas 12 years ago, I grew and and lived in the South Bronx, the hotel offered comfortability, the staff was very friendly, I noticed my last day, waiting for the elevator, that there was commentary special water. I went to the front and they gave me a big clear glass to put the water in. This information. Should have been told to me at check in. I did buy bottles of water out side but I had no need to. The water did taste good (fresh and crisp). I like the ides of open to the public, I didn’t attend the hang out area but when I passed by it was friendly and everyone was there “just to have a good time” . The breakfast was basic continental (as expected) it was one of two reason I chose this location the first was Because it was in the Bronx. The sercuity system is great,(your key activates the elevator)

The staff were exceptional, especially Joaslie who was a delight and very welcoming. I was bale to store my bags before I left and it was a nice vibrant venue underneath, but it was all over by 9.45/10pm on the Sunday so I wasn't disturbed all night. If you are near the lift shaft or on the side facing the train tracks bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper like me. The area is great in my opinion and is very similar to where I live in London, good honest folk trying to get by. I would say that I felt more comfortable walking in the neighborhood during the day, however, I am a solo woman. Great transport connections and a great spot with just what you need. Thank you!

The location was great for getting into the city. The area surrounding the hotel is not great, but also not terrible, pretty average and just be precautious, don't be out too late, etc. Breakfast was basic, just pastries and some microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, The contrast between the area and the interior of the hotel is notable, and a pleasant surprise. I was comfortable here.

I liked the location of the hotel, it was a 20 min walk to the Yankees stadium. It was one block away from the train station. The staff was friendly and gave restaurant recommendations as well as instructions with navigating the trains and other modes of transportation. The hotel was very clean. They had complimentary water to refill your bottles and the water taste good and crisp.
